Funding Description

Individuals with a social venture idea or those already making a positive impact can receive support to further develop their initiatives. The program offers a combination of funding and additional resources to help founders either launch or scale their social ventures. This support aims to empower them in turning their vision into a sustainable, impactful project.

Eligibility Information

To be eligible for the social venture award, applicants must be 16 or older, live in the UK, and be the founder or lead of the venture. The venture should be driven by a clear social purpose and show potential for long-term impact, requiring both financial and non-financial support to thrive. Ineligible applicants include those seeking funding for one-off projects, those continuing activities older than four years, and ventures focusing on academic qualifications or overseas travel. The venture itself must be financially sustainable, with a demonstrated need for the idea. Ineligible ventures include those with over £250,000 in annual turnover, political/religious campaigning, or those violating laws or public policies. Ventures focused only on awareness-raising or with a global focus outside the UK are also excluded.
