In 2022, the Motability Foundation launched a £50 million portfolio of grant programmes aimed at increasing support for disabled people through other charities and organisations. Since then, £39.9 million in grants has been awarded to 80 charities and organisations focused on providing transport, improving access to it, or conducting research on making transport more accessible for disabled people. This grant supports charities and organisations in improving and expanding access to quality, affordable active travel equipment and journeys, ensuring disabled people have equal opportunities to make decisions about how they travel.
