Funding Description

Financial support for community-led projects in Scotland, offering grants ranging from £300 to £20,000 for up to two years. Eligible applicants can seek funding for new or existing activities, or to help their organization adapt to new and future challenges. The fund supports projects that foster social connections, improve community spaces, help individuals reach their potential, and support those facing increased demands due to the cost-of-living crisis. Funds can be used for running costs, equipment, events, staff and training costs, transport, utilities, volunteer expenses, and small land or refurbishment projects. Applicants are encouraged to consider organizational costs that will support their community through current challenges.

Eligibility Information

The fund emphasizes projects that are people-led, strengths-based, and connected, involving community members in the design, development, and delivery of activities to ensure they meet local needs. Eligible applicants include constituted voluntary or community organizations, registered charities, charitable incorporated organizations, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee, community interest companies, schools, statutory bodies, community benefit societies, and co-operative societies with asset lock clauses. All applicants must have at least two unrelated board or committee members. Ineligible applicants include individuals, sole traders, organizations based outside the UK, those applying on behalf of another organization, profit-distributing entities, and those seeking duplicate funding for the same project. More likely to fund groups with smaller incomes.
