Funding Description

Individually tailored grants of up to £2,400 for children and young people who have experienced a crisis that has recently had a significant and enduring impact on their wellbeing and educational engagement.

Eligibility Information

Applications are open to frontline professionals working for registered charities, housing associations, or public sector organizations, who directly support children or young people, have conducted a full assessment of their needs, and have completed at least one home visit (optional for schools and colleges). Eligible children and young people must be aged 2 to 18 (including 18-year-olds) if living with a parent or carer, or up to 20 years old if living independently with little or no family support. They must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of education or training per week, live on a low income, and be experiencing financial hardship. Additionally, they must have recently faced a crisis that has significantly impacted their wellbeing, development, and education. The family or young person must also have taken steps to improve their situation and be actively engaging with support, showing progress in moving forward from the crisis.
