Funding Description
Shanly Foundation aims to support worthwhile causes across a wide spectrum that benefit the local community including support for:Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, The homeless, Mental health, People with physical disabilities, Life limiting illness etc. The Shanly Foundation is funded entirely by the Shanly Group of companies whose story began in 1969. Since then, Shanly Group and Shanly Foundation have contributed more than £28m to support hundreds of local community groups and charitable organisations. Each year Shanly Foundation now donates over £1.75 million to good causes, providing valuable financial assistance and improving the quality of life for those most in need across our communities in South East England.
Eligibility Information
The Shanly Foundation grants are available to registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs), and those exempt or excepted under Charity Commission guidance. Eligible organisations include those that assist the physically and mentally disabled, the elderly, or disadvantaged local community members. Grants also support organisations focused on rehabilitating individuals back into local communities, local sports and social clubs, scouting, guiding, Rotary, and similar community groups, as well as outdoor activity centres for young people. Other eligible areas include woodland and environmental conservation, social events raising funds for local causes, organisations tackling homelessness, and those working to develop careers in the construction industry. The grants cover core costs and unrestricted awards.
