Funding Description

The Chester Bluecoat Charity grants are dedicated to helping those in the community affected by poverty, inequality, and disadvantage and one of the ways we support this is via our grants programme. Funded by an investment portfolio, the grants enable charities and volunteer organisations to both reach and benefit even more people in local community. Grants can be used for project-related initiatives or to cover core operating costs including wages, utility bills, equipment and office space costs.

Eligibility Information

The application criteria require that applicants focus on projects or core costs, with grants available up to £20,000 per year. Grants are not awarded to individuals or commercial organizations, but must benefit communities within 15 miles of The Bluecoat building in England. The work must address poverty, disadvantage, and inequality, aligning with the organization's mission. Applicants must demonstrate effective, fair, and transparent governance, showing how their organization is managed. Additionally, sustainability is key, meaning the organization and its work should be able to continue in the long term. Finally, applicants need to provide clear, measurable evidence of the potential impact the grant will have, showcasing its quantitative benefits.
