Funding Description
Sir Halley Stewart established the Trust in 1924, to support innovative and pioneering work for the prevention of human suffering. The Trust is underpinned by Christian values, but welcomes applications from other faith and non-faith projects. The Trust has three priority areas: Medical, Social and Religious, with education being a central theme that runs across all grants.
Eligibility Information
The eligibility criteria for the application process ask several key questions. Applicants must first confirm if they are applying on behalf of a UK charitable organization. The project must align with one or more of the Trust's grant themes, which include medical, religious, or social causes. Additionally, applicants are asked whether they are seeking funding for general running costs of an ongoing project. It is required that the individual applying is the Principal Investigator or Lead Person responsible for the delivery of the project. Lastly, applicants must demonstrate if their project is innovative and ground-breaking within its field.
