Funding Description
The National Lottery Community Fund provides financial support for projects and organizations that aim to create positive changes within their communities, starting from £20,001. Funding is available for new or existing projects, organizational support to adapt to challenges, and initiatives that test new approaches to community issues. Projects should aim to bring people together, improve community spaces, or help individuals reach their potential by offering early support. The fund offers flexibility in terms of duration, type of activity, and whether it supports a single organization or multiple organizations working together, especially in response to the cost-of-living crisis.
Eligibility Information
The fund emphasizes projects that are people-led, strengths-based, and connected, involving community members in the design, development, and delivery of activities to ensure they meet local needs. Eligible applicants include constituted voluntary or community organizations, registered charities, charitable incorporated organizations, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee, community interest companies, schools, statutory bodies, community benefit societies, and co-operative societies with asset lock clauses. All applicants must have at least two unrelated board or committee members. Ineligible applicants include individuals, sole traders, organizations based outside the UK, those applying on behalf of another organization, profit-distributing entities, and those seeking duplicate funding for the same project.
