Funding Description
The UK Fund provides substantial funding for existing projects that aim to bring diverse communities together. The fund will also support projects empowering children and young people to use their voices for change. Eligible projects must benefit communities across the UK, either by working in multiple locations or sharing learning across countries. They should scale up their impact, supporting more people or deepening their work with existing groups, while also addressing poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination. Projects should aim to make significant changes to services or systems that affect people's lives. Specific goals include improving relationships between people with different experiences, enabling online connections for communities with limited face-to-face interaction, empowering people to influence their communities’ futures, supporting youth in overcoming challenges, and encouraging organizations to listen to and involve children and young people.
Eligibility Information
Organizations eligible to apply include registered charities, constituted voluntary or community organizations, companies limited by guarantee (with a not-for-profit clause or as a registered charity), Community Interest Companies (CICs), Charitable Incorporated Organizations (CIOs), community benefit societies, co-operative societies (with a not-for-profit clause and registered with the Financial Conduct Authority), and statutory bodies (including town, parish, and community councils). Partnerships of organizations can also apply, but all partners must meet these criteria. Each applicant must have at least two unrelated board or committee members. "Related" is defined as being connected by marriage, civil partnership, long-term relationship, cohabitation, or blood relations. This requirement extends to companies that are also registered as charities, which must have at least two unrelated directors.
